Chappie director and Apex Legends developer want to do a tie-in

Neill Blomkamp, director of Chappie, is down for an Apex Legends crossover.

The good news is that the developer of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment, is also happy to collaborate. In case you're wondering, one of Apex Legends' heroes is a robot called Pathfinder.

Anyone who watched Chappie, and played the game can immediately spot the similarities. So, it's only natural that some fans have been asking director Neill Blomkamp if a tie-in of some sort is happening, preferably one that results in an in-game skin.

Over the weekend, Blomkamp confirmed that he'd be down to do it. Shortly afterwards, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed that he too is. Now this is hardly confirmation that something is coming, but we can at the very least be sure that both parties are willing to create something.

Of course, Blomkamp only just finished working on another cross-promotion for an EA game, that being Conviction for BioWare's Anthem. I imagine bringing him back to do something with Apex Legends won't be that hard.

In other Apex Legends news, a recent datamine revealed some of the upcoming Legends, modes, and a Twitch Prime bonus.
