Arkham City DX11 patch is live, 32-bit users may wish to wait a bit
The PC patch fixing DirectX 11 issues in Batman: Arkham City has gone live, but Rocksteady is suggesting folks running 32-bit versions of Windows 7 or Vista skip it for the time being. Apparently, there are a few issues, and those who prefer 32-bit need to wait on a follow-up patch, and console themselves with DX9 for the time being. Those running 64-bit should go ahead and download the patch, as it should fix any DX11 issues you may be experiencing. Other fixes in the patch are listed below the jump.
There’s also a new skin pack available for all versions which will run you $4.99/400 Microsoft Points. A shot of it is posted below.

Yahoo gives Arkham City 6/5, MC averages rise to 95%, 96%
Yahoo Games has reviewed Batman: Arkham City at a 6 out of possible 5, saying it “improves on the original so much that it feels like gluttony.” This isn’t the first time such hilarity has graced games reviews; PSM3 France gave Uncharted 2 a 21/20. For what it’s worth, it’s definitely worth a high score – typo or not – from the amount I’ve played so far. Expect a piece on that tomorrow alongside the UK launch.
The Rocksteady actioner now has a 360 MC of 95%, with the PS3 version sitting at 96%.
It’s out now on PS3 and 360 in the US, with the PC version launching in Europe on November 18. A Wii U version is also on the way.

Australia – Batman: Arkham City street date broken
EB Games Australia has confirmed rumours of a broken Batman: Arkham City street date via its official Twitter account.
GAME Australia is yet to officially allow sales; a representative confirmed store managers are expecting approval to begin selling the game within the hour.
Since the US gets hold of Arkham City on October 18, with Europe forced to wait until October 21, that makes Australia first to go to retail with Rocksteady’s latest.
The game was slated to release locally tomorrow on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; a PC version has been delayed.
