Warp appears on Steam, but still no EA-Valve agreement
As handily pointed out by VG247 reader DSB, Warp — a recently released EA-published puzzler — is currently available on Steam with a sizable list of Origin-related restrictions. That, of course, is a bit “Bwaaaah?”-worthy, seeing as EA and Valve spent the better part of last year at each other’s throats over Valve’s “restrictive” terms of service. So then, have the two finally kissed, made up, and sworn to forever be BFFs on Gabe Newell’s beard? No such luck, EA has told VG247.

Digitally pre-purchase Battlefield 3 through Best Buy, pre-load the game today
Folks that pre-order Battlefield 3 through Best Buy can pre-load the shooter today. You’ll need to have Origin installed to do so. At midnight on October 25, Best Buy will provide customers with a code to unlock the game. Offering digital pre-orders is a move by the box retailer to counteract flat year-over-year revenues for the second quarter of its current fiscal year, which saw a decline in game’s sold. Thanks, Gamasutra.

EA inserts class-action prevention clause into Origin EULA
Like Sony before it, EA has added a clause to its Origin EULA which would keep users from bringing a class-action suit against the firm. The updated terms-of-service agreement, once accepted by the participant foregoes the right to sue and have a jury trial, allowing only individual cases to be brought against it. Like Sony’s agreement, the Origin agreement includes an opt-out clause which much be submitted to EA in writing. You can thank AT&T and the Supreme Court for this.

Pre-order BF3 from Origin, get Dead Space 2 free
EA’s offering a very temping incentive to pre-order Battlefield 3 from Origin for those who haven’t yet. If you decide to go with the EA service, you’ll get in return, as well as DLC and early access to the beta, a free download of Dead Space 2. But there’s a snag: there are only limited copies of DS2 left. This seems to be a US offer, by the looks of it. as there’s no similar deal on the UK storefront.
The DICE shooter launches at the end of October. Here’s its latest video. Thanks, Joystiq.
