It looks like EA games will be returning to Steam

Years after branching out with Origin, it looks like EA might soon start publishing its games on Steam again.

Since the Origin store launched back in 2011, EA has released their games through their own service while avoiding Steam. But now we're seeing some hints that the publisher might be considering a return to Valve's storefront.

The big clue here is a tweet from EA itself, which shows a steaming mug of...presumably coffee? Although I suppose they probably just filled the cup up with boiling water for the sake of the video, right? The specifics of the liquid are immaterial, I suppose - the steam is the important thing to focus on.

Another Twitter user, 'RobotBrush', also pointed towards some evidence that Steam would start selling EA games, embedded below (thanks, PC Gamer). The implication here is that you could buy the games through Steam and have them in your library, but starting them up would still start up Origin's launcher.

Hopefully we'll get actual proper confirmation on this soon.
