Daedalic Entertainment has released a developer diary for Blackguards discussing the “Daedalic Dungeons” which features various team members trying out various torture devices. Doesn’t appear than anyone was harmed in the making of the video, but you never know. Watch it below. The turn based strategy RPG is now available through Steam Early Access, and one chapter will be released every three weeks. Grab one of the two special early access editions which come loaded with extras through the link. Blackguards is based on the roleplaying property The Dark Eye, and is set for release in January.

Daedalic’s turn based strategy RPG Blackguards is now available through Steam Early Access, three months ahead of its official release. The game will have one chapter released every three weeks, and at present, the game is %10 off. Otherwise will run you $25/£19/€25, or you can grab one of the two special early access editions which come loaded with extras. Daedalic’s turn based strategy Blackguards can be within your grasp as early as next week thanks to a Steam Early Access launch on November 7, three months ahead of its official release. The game will release chapter by chapter at a rate of one every three weeks, and at $25/£19/€25 is cheaper than the expected launch price. Daedalic is offering two special early access editions which cost more but come with various goodies such as an artbook, wallpapers, interviews and extra games, as well as a chance to appear in the game’s credits. Blackguards is based on the roleplaying property The Dark Eye, like Demonicon, Drakensang and Chains of Satinav.

Daedalic Entertainment’s debut, Edna & Harvey – The Breakout is now available through Steam for PC and will run you US$14.99. In case you are unfamiliar with the title, Edna is a young woman who wakes up without any memory of her past life in a padded cell in an asylum. She has no idea how she got there, but wants out because she is not insane – which her stuffed bunny Harvey can attest. While trying to escape, the duo meet other wacky inhabitants of the asylum as Doctor Marcel, the head of the sanatorium tries everything in his power to prevent Edna’s breakout.

Daedalic Entertainment has delayed its grim fantasy, turn based strategy RPG Blackguards into January. The game, based on the German role-playing game The Dark Eye, needs some extra time so it will shine, and to “ensure the highest quality,” said senior producer Kai Fiebig. Blackguards will now be available January 2014 for PC. A set of screenshots are below.

Deadalic has released a new trailer for upcoming point-and-click Memoria, part of The Dark Eye family of games. It arrives on PC via Steam and GOG.com on August 30, and casts players as a young fowler – don’t ask me – who must solve an historical mystery to save his girlfriend.

Daedalic Entertainment’s award-wining point-and-click adventure Deponia has made the leap to OS-X, and is available on the Mac App Store for $22. Deponia prides itself on dark humour and is part of a trilogy. Daedalic is also responsible for The Whispered World and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, as well as upcoming projects Memoria, Blackguards and The Night of the Rabbit.

Daedalic Entertainment has released a teaser for Memoria, its new point and click adventure game set in Aventuria starring a “spirited princess” named Sadja, who is a warrior seeking “great renown.” She has been lost to the ages, but a “new adventurer will come to retell her epic story as he spins one of his own.” Sounds like there’s a twist in there someplace. Based on the pen and paper game The Dark Eye, the video game adds the magic system, contains various puzzles, and a story full of ancient magic. Memoria is scheduled to be available for PC and Mac by the end of August via Steam and GoG. Trailer and screens are below.

Daedalic Entertainment has released a small batch of screenshots for its upcoming Memoria title. The hand-drawn shots are absolutely wonderful and indicate the game’s locations are going to be a huge asset when it finally releases in Q3 2013.
