Activision is being sued by Worlds Inc, claiming it has infringed a patent belonging to the latter in relation to Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. Worlds Inc says the patent Acti infringed is linked to “systems and method for enabling users to interact in a virtual space,” with WoW and CoD linked to the patent.

According to MP1st, Activision is running a double XP event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this weekend. The news comes via a system message when you fire up the multiplayer, and seems to be an Xbox Live-only affair – just like the recent content drop. Never mind, everyone else – your time will come.

Activision has released Collection 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, so says the Major. If you missed the launch trailer for it, watch through here. Collection 1 includes multiplayer maps Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box along with new Special Ops missions Black Ice and Negotiator. Consider this a friendly reminder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s 4th, 5th and 6th content drops are now available on Xbox 360. The content includes a new multiplayer level, and two new Spec Ops missions. The content, featuring Black Box, Negotiator and Black Ice, will be available for download on other platforms at a later date. The next drop, Content Collection #1, will release on Xbox Live on March 20 and includes all of the above as well as multiplayer maps Liberation, Piazza, and Overwatch.
