You can now play Ghost Recon Wildlands for free for 5 hours on PS4 and Xbox One

Ghost Recon Wildlands is one of the biggest games of the year so far, so maybe it's time to check it out.

A five hour Ghost Recon Wildlands trial has gone live on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

There are no restrictions on the trial beyond the time limit, so in your five hours you can explore everything Ghost Recon Wildlands has to offer across its enormous Bolivian landscape.

Since you only have a limited time with the trial, can we recommend this Ghost Recon Wildlands weapon guide?

You will need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play in co-op, but assuming you have that, you can team up with other trial players or those who have the full game. There should be plenty of matches waiting to be made, because Ghost Recon Wildlands is one of the bestselling games of 2017 to date as of the June NPD.

Being an open world Ubisoft game, Ghost Recon Wildlands has way more stuff to do than you could ever get done in five hours - so the good news is your progress will carry across to the full game should you decide to buy in.

Nice of Ubisoft to give out a demo just in time for the weekend. Have fun in Ghost Recon Wildlands!
