"It is a fantastic achievement for our franchise and for our teams, and we'd like to thank Warface players everywhere for their support," Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said in a statement published on CVG.

Yerli said Warface is part of Crytek's "games-as-service" model, which means community if of utmost importance.

"We look forward to delivering more of the great gameplay experiences that they have come to expect, and can promise the growing ranks of Warface fans that the franchise still has lots of surprises in store," he teased.

Warface is available on PC via Crytek's GFACE platform, but also recently went into open beta on Xbox Live for all Gold subscribers.
