THQ financials: Red Faction III confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

THQ chief Brian Farrell gave first details of a third in the Red Faction shooter series in an investor call last night, following the announcement of third quarter financials. The game was described as "Red Faction III" and is being developed, as you'd expect, by Volition. Farrell promised more on the game in the coming weeks, with few details emerging on the project other than it's going to leverage current gen hardware for "more exciting destruction technology."
The game is to release in THQ's fiscal 2009, which ends on March 31 next year.
