The Witcher 3: Little Red walkthrough

A twist on a familiar tale awaits you.

The Little Red quest in The Witcher 3 is another short but sweet one, and one that is a strange twist on the familiar tale that is Little Red Riding Hood. As such, the rewards might not be plentiful, but it's worth seeking out just to see how this plays out.

Geralt is no stranger to helping common folk handle beasts, and this quest is no different. Without further ado, here's how to complete the Little Red quest in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Little Red walkthrough

Northeast of Novigrad in The Witcher 3 is a little village called Beanston. Enter the village and look for some villagers having a pow-wow about their bandit troubles. Approach and speak to them, agreeing to assist with their problem, to start the Little Red quest.

You need to wait until sunset, as that's when Little Red and her bandits attack. I'd save beforehand, if I were you.

When Little Red arrives, her and the gang are initially neutral towards you, only interested in the villagers. Here, she chats with you; you can then opt to let her do what she wants to do in return for a monetary reward, or honour your original contract with the villagers. It's worth noting that helping the villagers will provide you with more XP, while leaving Little Red to it will award you with more Crowns. It's up to you what you do, though!

If you choose to leave Little Red to it, she'll kill the villager she has been seeking out, Bertram, and you're left to your own devices.

If you elect to battle Little Red, beware: she's a werewolf. It's very important to take out the other bandits first, so get some distance between you and the beast and use Yrden, Axii or Aard to keep her at bay while you duel with her band.

Little Red herself is best taken down with standard werewolf tactics - Cursed Oil, Devil's Puffball and Igni. She'll often dart away into the fields to hide from you; don't be tempted to follow, where she can ambush you. Don't forget to switch to your silver blade once you've finished killing the humans.

When Little Red is down, take out any further bandits who might be in other parts of the village, and speak to Bertram for your reward. Loot Little Red for her diary, if you want.
