Disturbance is one of the three child quests that make up Ugly Baby, the first quest of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Act Two. In this quest, you'll be tasked with finding a 'disturbance' that happens to be troubling Yennefer and her crystals.

While Yennefer gives you a special item to help identify the disturbance, it still isn't all that clear what exactly the issue is. To give you a helping hand, here's how to complete the Disturbance quest in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Disturbance walkthrough

Having kicked off Ugly Baby in The Witcher 3 and received this child quest, Disturbance, set it as your active quest. Then, head into the main hall of Kaer Morhen and follow your HorsePS to Yennefer's workshop on the top floor of one of the towers.

Chat with Yennefer about how she's settling in (badly), then take the Potestaquisator that she gives you downstairs to the main hall and wave it around in the search area. Follow the squeaks, which become more intense as you approach your goal.

Where is the Disturbance in The Witcher 3?

It's pretty hard to see your goal in this quest because the interact prompt only pops up when you're practically on top of it, and there are other interactive objects nearby.

You want the crates near Vesemir and the cage; get right in between the two pylons (training dummies? Whatever they are) to trigger the prompt. You may need to fiddle with the camera a bit to get it to work. Examine these, then wait for Vesemir to finish moving them.

Head back upstairs and chat with Yennefer to open a conversation with the Sage. She has some dire warnings. This concludes the quest, but we have more to do to complete Ugly Baby. I suggest tackling The Final Trial next.
