Here's how to complete A Princess in Distress quest in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn't all serious politics and shanking monsters; A Princess in Distress is a more lighthearted affair.

Considering it's part of another quest - Family Matters - you don't have too much work to do here, either. If you need a helping hand, however, here's how to complete the A Princess in Distress quest in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: A Princess in Distress quest guide

A Princess in Distress is part of the Family Matters quest in The Witcher 3; you have to complete it in order to get the Peller to perform an augury for you. It is quite ridiculous, and Geralt knows it.

You receive a bell, which should automatically be equipped in one of your pocket slots; if not, go equip it manually. Select it with the quickslot wheel and use R1/RB to sound it while you scan the search area with Witcher Senses for a red sound marker.

Go towards the red marker, dispatching any wolves that attack, until you find the princess. You must then trot along slowly towards the Peller, ringing the bell constantly and listening to Geralt mutter darkly about the state of his life right now.

Eventually the princess runs away, and when you track her down, a bear will appear. If you’ve never fought a bear, the best tactic is to roll to one side and circle as you attack its flank, then roll whenever it winds up an attack. Igni isn’t too bad, either.

When the bear is dead, continue escorting the princess. There should be no more interruptions. It's now time for us to go back to finishing off the Family Matters quest.
