The Surge 2 will support 4K gameplay on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X

The Surge 2 will look rather spiffy on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

The original title looked rather nice on consoles, but The Surge 2 will take things a step further on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Deck13 has revealed The Surge 2 will support 4K gameplay on both souped up consoles. It will also display in upscaled 4K at 30fps, or 60fps at 1080p.

If you plan on playing the game on PC, the minimum and recommended specs are below.

The Surge 2 PC Specs

Minimum - Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: AMD FX-8320 (3.5 GHz) / Intel i5-4690K (3.5 GHz)
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: 2 GB, AMD Radeon R9 280 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Requires a graphics card compatible with Vulkan, requires Internet connection for online features.

Recommended - Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: AMD FX-8370 (4.0 GHz) / Intel Core i7-3820 (3.6 GHz)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: 6 GB, AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Requires a graphics card compatible with Vulkan, requires Internet connection for online features.

Out next week on September 24, the game features over 80 weapons, a directional parry system, dodge mechanics, drones, and a large range of dismemberment and execution moves.

It also takes place in a brand new environment with a larger level design over the original.
