Star Citizen devs looking to earn $500,000 through Kickstarter

Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium has taken to Kickstarter to help fund the space simulation title.
You can donate through here. The developers are asking for $500,000 and so far 27 backers have pledged $1,486.
Cloud Imperium raised a little over $1 million through its official website, but the site wasn't able to handle the traffic very well. The ultimate goal is to obtain $2 million total in funding with the rest of developmental costs obtained through angel investors.
