Star Citizen is free to play for the next 11 days

Cloud Imperium Games has kicked off Invictus Launch Week in Star Citizen, which is an 11-day “Free Fly” event.

The event kicks off today, and runs through June 1 and offers new players the opportunity to explore Star Citizen for free.

The Free Fly event also offers an opportunity to take advantage of test-flying vehicles, and most will be available to test fly for free. Different manufacturers take over every other day, so keep checking back.

All ships available for the Free Fly will also be available in the pledge store during the event on their designated manufacturer days. A selection of ships that won’t be apart of the Free Fly will also be on the pledge store.

To play the game for free, you will need to sign up for an account through here.

If you already play the game, during this time you can watch demonstrations from the UEE’s naval fleet, visit the in-game expo center, and acquire rare ships.

Check out the infographic below for a look at what to expect during the Invictus Launch Week. You can also find out more on the event at the link.
