As far as PR goes, the video after the link is something of a classic. It's about a band called Blind Guardian, and how it got involved in doing the music for Ascaron RPG Sacred 2.
Basically, the band wanted to do a game, but couldn't. And then it could. And there was metal in Sacred 2.
