Riccitiello: "Innovative" Madden, Dead Space 2, Need for Speed in next FY

Following the release of yet more woeful financial guidance from EA last night, CEO John Riccitiello sought to keep enthusiasm burning in a conference call with the promise of a broad spread of product in fiscal 2011.

The boss said punters can expect "a great new version of Medal of Honor, a revitalized Need for Speed, Sims on console, FIFA in a World Cup year, an innovative and new take on Madden, Dead Space 2, Crysis... an MMA game, and many others" between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011.

As Shacknews points out, while some of these games, namely Medal of Honor and EA Sports MMA, were already expected this year, Dead Space 2, Criterion's Need for Speed, and Crysis 2 had yet to receive any sort of release estimate.

EA said last night that full-year guidance has now been lowered significantly, down to $3.6 billion-$3.675 billion from the $3.6-$3.9 billion previously predicted.
