Plants Vs Zombies 2 sees soft Android launch in Australia & New Zealand

Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is coming to Android after a period of iOS exclusivity. PopCap's title is now in a soft launch over in Australia and New Zealand, before fanning out to other markets.

Just like the iOS release, PopCap will launch the game free of charge when it comes to Android. It follows claims that Apple paid for exclusive rights to the game, effectively halting the Android launch.

The rumour began after EA's Frank Gibeau was quoted as saying, "Apple gave us a truckload of money to delay the Android version [of Plants vs Zombies 2]“.

Either way, it's almost here. Are you excited?
