My Friend Pedro shifts 250,000 units in one week on PC and Switch

My Friend Pedro has only been out a week and has already sold over 250,000 copies.

My Friend Pedro was announced during Devolver Digital’s E3 2018 conference, and released last week on June 20.

The side-scroller is “a violent ballet about friendship, imagination," and one man’s struggle to "obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana." Here, players shoot their way through various levels, and can enjoy the action in slow-mo during on occasion.

Developed by DeadToast, the game also features split-aiming, acrobatic moves and all sorts of other crazy antics.

It is available now on Switch and PC, and is currently 15% off for $16.99 until July 9 through Steam.
