Devolver Digital's My Friend Pedro is a slow-mo shooter that we can't wait to get our hands on

Devolver Digital announced its new title during the publisher's E3 2018 press conference, and it's a crazy-looking slow-mo shooter that involves a banana.

My Friend Pedro was unveiled at Devolver Digital's E3 2018 press conference yesterday, and it looks, for all intents and purposes, like an unofficial Deadpool game.

Described as "a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana," players will shoot their way through levels of anonymous henchman, switching to glorious slow-mo every now and then to take a breather, or figure out the environmental puzzles.

"The strategic use of split aiming, slow motion, and the ol’ stylish window breach create one sensational action sequence after another in an explosive battle through the violent underworld," reads the description on the Steam store page.

There's even an "automated gif generator" allowing players to share their most impressive slow-mo escapades on social media with ease.

My Friend Pedro is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in 2019.
