The Division 2 and AC Odyssey demos are headed to EGX 2018

Ubisoft is bringing playable demos of The Division 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Starlink: Battle for Atlas to this year's EGX.

One of the coolest reasons to attend video game conventions and trade shows, is that sometimes you'll get to play games well in advance of their actual release date. That's why it's exciting to hear that Ubisoft will be attending EGX 2018 - and bringing some playable demos along with it.

Ubisoft's EGX booth will include a four-player co-operative demo of The Division 2 for any visitors. Single-player fans can also try out Assassin's Creed Odyssey, where can players can do a mission as either Alexios or Kassandra. Both demos will be based on the Xbox One versions of the games.

What's more, sci-fi fans will be able to check out Ubisoft's space-exploration game Starlink: Battle for Atlas. Our own James Badcliffe tried it out during Gamescom and compared it to No Man's Sky - but "with stuff to do". Starlink's demo will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

If you want to play these demos and can make it to Birmingham from September 21 to 24, you can pick up tickets here. If not, at least each game's release date isn't too far away. The Division 2 launches on March 15, 2019, AC Odyssey arrives on October 5, 2018, and Starlink is available on October 16, 2018.
