Cyberpunk 2077 will have diverse relationships - in both sexuality and complexity

Cyberpunk 2077 increasingly sounds like a game that has everything, including a robust relationship system.

When they designed the relationship system for The Witcher 3 (and indeed the earlier Witcher games), CD Projekt Red was somewhat hamstrung by the fact that Geralt's sexuality was already defined by the book series that preceded it. This is not the case for Cyberpunk 2077, which will allow for a wider variety of experiences.

Cyberpunk 2077 will let you have sex with a range of NPCs, which can develop into something more...or it can stay casual.

Speaking to Game Informer, quest designer Patrick Mills has shed some light on your sexual options in their upcoming RPG.

"You know, you're defining your own character here, which means defining their sexuality any way you want", Mills says. Different NPCs might be straight, gay, or bisexual; each will have their preferences, and might or might not be sexually interested in your character (which you'll be able to create yourself).

Depending on your choices, and the NPCs you're interested in, you can find yourself flitting between casual sexual situations or in a committed relationship. It's possible to have " big, complicated relationships that continue over the course of the game", Mills says.

Cyberpunk 2077 finally re-emerged at E3 this year. It'll be a huge single player RPG experience, viewed entirely in first-person, and it looks very good.

No release date has been set, but it's coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
