Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players on PS4 get a timed-exclusive Special Ops Survival Mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players on PS4 will get a Special Ops Survival Mode exclusive for one year.

The news was announced today at the end of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare story trailer.

This is the “exciting Day 1 advantage,” Activation announced last week, as we previously reported. This is a Special Ops Survival Mode which will remain a PS4-exclusive for an entire year. PC and Xbox One players won't be able to play the Special Ops Survival Mode until October 1, 2020.

Details on the mode were not provided, but a tease can be found in the Modern Warfare story trailer around the 2:18 mark (thanks, Charlie Intel).

Following the game's release, all other post-launch gameplay content, including new multiplayer maps, new multiplayer modes, Special Ops missions and more will release simultaneously across all platforms.

Once we have more information about the exclusive mode for PS4, we'll update you.
