Anthem’s first post-launch Freeplay event, There Be Giants, is now available for all players.
You’ll be able to find the There Be Giants Challenge in the Combat subheading in the Challenges menu. It involves hunting down four Titans in Freeplay and it’s no easy feat.
Each Titan has their own spawn point and they’re difficult to miss as they are massive. If one doesn’t appear when you reach its spawn point, wait a few moments as they respawn quite regularly.
Once you’ve defeated all four Titans, you’ll be rewarded with the Foundation vinyl for your Javelins. This event is time-gated and ends soon, though you’ll be able to replay it in March.
You can check out our 90-day Anthem roadmap guide here.
Anthem: There Be Giants spawn locations
The four Titans are called War, Ruin, Bane and Havoc and spawn from static points on the map. As always, you’ll be fighting as part of a team of four Freelancers to take down the Titan, so equip your most powerful weapons and components before you head out.
You can find the Titans in the following locations:
- War – Monument Rock
- Ruin – Great Falls Canyon
- Bane – North of Valley of Tarsis, Northeast of the Freeplay spawn point
- Havoc – South of Eastern Reach
If you’re not bothered about loot and just want to complete the Challenge and get the vinyl, set the difficulty to Easy and you’ll defeat them in no time. If you’re playing with a random squad, try your best to get everyone together to focus on one Titan at a time. Freelancers are stronger together, after all.
If you play on Hard, there’s a chance some Masterwork loot might drop after defeating each Titan. Use ranged weapons and aim for the Titan’s weak points and remember to avoid their fire attacks.
Once the There Be Giants challenge is complete, head back to the Forge to unlock your new vinyl.
