As we get closer to the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, developer Rockstar Games has confirmed the multiplayer online version of the Wild West shooter will go live shortly after launch.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released October 26, with the Red Dead Online beta going live the following month in November. An exact date is yet to be nailed down, but we’re expecting more information to be made available shortly considering Red Dead Redemption 2 drops next week.
How to get on the Red Dead Online beta
The good news is that the Red Dead Online beta is public and open to all. This means there’s no closed beta, no limits to who can join or when. The Red Dead Online beta is open to PS4 and Xbox One players who own Red Dead Redemption 2.
As it’s a beta, Rockstar Games has warned to expect hiccups during launch and beyond. It also hopes to work with the Red Dead Online beta community to improve the service after launch and help create content.
