Does this secret Destiny: Rise of Iron location hint at a new Heroic Daily mission variant and Exotic quest?

Destiny: Rise of Iron players have identified a new secret area. Is this the start of another Black Spindle chase?

Destiny: Rise of Iron has already brought forth one amazing goose chase of a weapons quest in the Outbreak Prime monitors and ARG rigmarole, but fans are expecting more - and have turned up evidence that another might be on the way.

Widely recognised Destiny glitcher CloudLXXXV GAMING was fooling around in the Plaguelands and managed to get into the interior of the Ketch near The Breach area. It looks very similar to the Ketch interior players visit in the vanilla Destiny mission Scourge of Winter (my my, nostalgia), but the layout is reversed, and there are new textures, lighting effects and doors. The area has its own unique name, too - Splicership Menkis-Syn.

This Ketch is available by travelling through the Plaguelands from most Destiny: Rise of Iron story missions, but is most obvious in the mission The Walls Come Down. This has led some players to speculate that the interior will become officially accessible when The Walls Come Down is featured as a Daily Heroic Mission, similarly to how the Black Spindle was originally only available by meeting certain secret conditions when a specific mission was the featured Heroic.

Others are skeptical, saying all Destiny: Rise of Iron's secrets have been found. Sure, the Rise of Iron record Book might say there are only four Exotic quests (all of which have been found, if you want to finish up A Life Exotic), but hey - the Black Spindle challenge in The Taken King wasn't exactly a quest, amirite?

The Walls Come Down has not been featured as a Heroic Daily mission since Destiny: Rise of Iron launched. In fact, Bungie has been very conservative dealing out Rise of Iron Daily Heroics. That's very nice for those who don't own the expansion, of course, but it does make us wonder whether it's a deliberate pacing decision, since the community is likely to immediately discover every new secret that might be hidden in a Heroic Daily.
