Rethink rangers with Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide introduces its ranger character. How do axes, shotguns and shield bashing sound to you?

Thanks to the Lord of the Rings movies most people think of Aragorn and his elven buddies when they hear the word "ranger". This is absolutely fair enough, as Tolkien hugely informed modern RPG archetypes, but stealth, archery and nimble fencing are only the surface of this flexible class's possibilities.

For example: rangers can be tough-as-nail survivalists, like the dwarves in the Warhammer universe. Fatshark has run with this interpretation for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, resulting in the explosive action reel you see below.

All the characters in Vermintide are pretty cool, so be sure to check out the Witch Hunter, Waywatcher and Empire Soldier.
