Well, this is just lovely. The Secret World: Issue #6 contains a train journey which players are tasked with interrupting, but one intrepid livestreamer decided to see what would happen if she simply stayed on The Last Train to Cairo. After thirteen hours, game director Joel Bylos turned up and rewarded her faith with a trip to Tokyo – an in-development zone which fans are very, very keen to see. Bylos let the livestream continue, with the result that you can relive the experience on Twitch – just skip the first 13 hours and 47 minutes.

The Secret World developer Funcom has teamed up with We Love Fine to offer a range of licensed merchandise. The current catalog includes messenger bags, shirts and a hoodie, branded with logos representing organisations and locations, with more to come soon. The shirts are only available in men’s cuts right now, which is handy because if I buy another t-shirt a black hole will open in my wardrobe. Also, VG247′s chosen faction, the Templar, is mysteriously under-represented. I call shenanigans, Illuminati.

The Secret World’s latest update, Issue #4 which sets the stage for the Big Trouble in the Big Apple raid, is now available. It also contains a new Auxiliary Weapon, the Chainsaw, PvP enhancements, the Albion Theatre, Reticule Combat and a new set of missions. The NYC raid is “undergoing final testing,” said Funcom, and will be brought live as soon as possible.
