New APB shots look mental
APB’s shaping up nicely. It’s been accepting new beta entrants recently, but if you weren’t one of them, relax: RealTime Worlds has released new shots of the MMO.
The game had a fair showing at GDC a couple of weeks ago, with a live demo shown by RTW big guy Dave Jones.
APB was recently dated for a Q2 FY2011 release alongside Crysis 2, which is between July and September, for PC.
Originally also due for Xbox 360 as well when it was first announced, Jones has gone on to admit that if it were to come to consoles, it’d need a total redux.

Having played the beta I’m less confident, sure you can spend a month customising your car and avatar but all the cars move like a roller skate on ice and the gunplay isn’t stellar.

Nahhh totally disagree with the car handling, its sexy car handling
Gunplay is fine
All it needs now is to let people go into squads with their friends and then they choose a mission together
