US PS Store Update, January 3 - Darksiders, Resistance 3 DLC

The PlayStation Store is easing into the new year with a lightweight update, but there's still some gold to be found within.

Perhaps top of the priorities list this week, THQ has made Darksiders available for download. The Vigil debut went down a treat on release, described as a darker take on the Zelda formula, and if you have a PS Plus sub you'll get a nice discount, so jump on board. There's a trial there, too.

Speaking of PS Plus, grab hold of the first three Syphon Filter games for free. This classic franchise of the stealth explosion era has been quiet for some time, but I'm tipping it for a Vita comeback. Get these under your belt so you know what the fuss is about.

NFL Blitz is now available for PSN users too, but otherwise, it's a good week for DLC. Plenty of Rockband and Rocksmith goodness, as well as a big pile of free Resistance 3 add-ons.
