Union Studio founded by former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs

A few brief snippets of evidence reveal the remnants of GSC Game World may have coalesced on a second new centre.

Evidence that former GSC Game World staffers are getting back together comes from a number of sources, as collated by PC Gamer.

The story seems to have broken on StopGame, which claims the team is working on a new shooter and posted what is said to be the first concept art.

A website has been launched for Union Studio, but is currently blank, although its LinkedIn page describes it as a “new company, created together with the best professionals that worked for GSC Game World and other AAA class studios" working on a “cross-platform action shooter which will be available for PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox”.

At least four former GSC Game World staffers list Union as current employed on their LinkedIn profiles. Ex-GSC Game World programmer Eugene Kim is among them, and the developer recently posted a link to the StopGame report.

Looks pretty solid. Other ex-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developers went on to form Vostok Games after the sequel was shelved.
