Trion and SyFy post teaser for interconnected game and TV series Defiance 

Trion and SyFy have posted a brief look at the upcoming shooter MMO, Defiance, which is slated for release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The online persistent shooter is set on a future Earth, where humans and aliens live together on a planet transformed by decades of conflict. The game combines the action of a console shooter, with the persistence, scale, and customization of an MMO.

On the television side, the Defiance series, will be penned by Rockne S. O’Bannon known for his work on Warehouse 13, Alien Nation, seaQuest DSV, and Farscape.

Defiance the series weaves the world into a series with the "scope, characters, and drama," of a sci-fi series, and exists in a single universe with the game. Because of this, the show and the game will influence each other and evolve together over time, with actions in both driving the overall story.

The game is being shown at E3 this week, so hopefully more will be revealed.
