Total War: Warhammer screens and video are all about magic

The video above shows an in-depth look at the devastating effects which occur when wielding such power. It also goes into how to utilize spells and how the "true potential" of magic can only be unlocked when combined with tactical maneuvers.

Game director Ian Roxborough touched upon this briefly when he told VG27 that picking the "right spell at the right time in the right context," may just be the thing which "turns the tide of battle."

Just make sure your units are in full health when you let loose. If they are on the cusp of their morale level, missing a large chunk of their individual entity hitpoints, a powerful spell could destroy your fellas - like what happened to Dan.

Total War: Warhammer releases on May 24.
