Capcom recently announced a new Devil May Cry HD Collection for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Despite this being the second HD collection released for Devil May Cry, the new collection currently has no plans to support 4K graphics on advanced hardware like the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.

Capcom has told USgamer that there are no plans at the moment to add 4k support for Devil May Cry HD Collection. Instead, the new collection will run at 60fps in 1080p.

This is the second HD collection released for Devil May Cry. The previous collection, which also collected together the first three Devil May Cry games developed by Capcom, came out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. That collection ran at 60fps in 720p.

While it's a shame that the upcoming Devil May Cry HD Collection won't utilize the most recent video game hardware, we can hopefully expect the same kind of smooth performance required of a game like Devil May Cry.
