Tesco pre-owned plans go UK-wide

Tesco's told MCV its expanding its used games sales operation to include all its smaller Extra stores.

You'll only be able to sell your games as the mini-supermarkets, however: selling will only take place at larger outlets.

“We are continuing to develop our pre-owned offer and we are rolling out to the Extra stores estate as sales warrant,” said Tesco’s senior buying manager for games, John Stanhope.

“At the moment we are buying and selling in 150 stores and buying in all Extras,” he added.

Consumers can check the value of their game and find out where their nearest trade-in store is by visiting the Tesco Entertainment website.

Previously, secondhand games could only be bought in 61 Tesco shops.
