Slenderman option blocks Faceless from Greenlight debut

Faceless, the multiplayer Half-life mod once known as Slender: Source, is yet to gain Greenlight approval due to copyright concerns. Joystiq reports Valve has denied approval for the game, which has been top of the service's charts for some time because and an unknown third-party holds an option on the Slenderman character despite its open source origins. Developer Justin Ross said he has permission from the meme's creator to produce the game, and hasn't heard back from the option holder in a week. Ross said if all else fails, he'll simply launch through ModDB rather than Greenlight.
