Shadowrun Returns to be released DRM-free due to deal with Microsoft

Hairbrained Schemes has announced it and Microsoft have reached an agreement which will allow the firm to release DRM-free versions of Shadowrun Returns. The deal includes DRM-free expansions for the game as well, such as Berlin. Players will be able to download all game patches, use the Shadowrun Returns editor and experience user-generated content downloaded from third-party sites such as Nexus. The team is currently working on getting the game up on GOG.com and will announce its availability in due course. Shadowrun Returns was one of the first major Kickstarter-funded games to be released.
