SCE Santa Monica recruiting offers slight hints at new open-world project

God of War developer SCE Santa Monica has a mysterious, unannounced project on the go, and while we still have no idea what it is a new job ad gives a few vague suggestions.

In a recruitment ad for a senior level designer posted on the US PlayStation site, and screen grabbed by AllGamesBeta for posterity, SCE Santa Monica lists a few elements of its new project which the successful applicant may be required to work on.

The most interesting snippets are "open world level design", "ambient gameplay and side missions", "navigation/platforming challenges", "designing and implementing fun/challenging AI layouts", and "placing rough cameras, including animated and entity-triggered cameras".

SCE Santa Monica is also looking for a senior technical designer at this time, but the ad doesn't offer any further clues.

SCE Santa Monica is known to have moved on from God of War to other, unannounced projects - probably for PS4. As well as whatever it the core team is working on, the busy studio offers support to multiple SCE teams, and also incubates indies; at the moment, it's helping Ready At Dawn with The Order: 1886
