Rumour - Microsoft to bring in Xbox, PC, mobile under one ecosystem

Microsoft will dial in Xbox, PC and mobile under one existing OS, according to This is My Next.

The site claims that MS will "harmonize not only Windows for PCs and Windows Phone, but also the Xbox operating system sometime within the next four years."

As noted, the timeframe of such a move would come at the ten-year cycle of Xbox 360, as well as an expected three-year run for Windows 8 when it launches next year. This is despite rumours that the next Xbox will launch in 2014.

TIMN also claims that Microsoft is considering the decision to drop the Windows brand in favour of a rebranding with this supposed super OS.
