Screen Gems and Constantin Film officially announced today the start of production on Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Being filmed in Toronto, Canada, Milla Jovovich returns as Alice with Ali Larter and Spencer Locke returning as Claire Redfield and K-Mart, respectively. Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) will play Chris Redfield and Shawn Roberts will take over the role of Wesker.

Boris Kodjoe and Kim Coates have also been cast.

Due to hit theaters during all 2010, Paul W.S. Anderson is once again directing with a script he wrote all by himself, and will shoot the flick in 3D.

"Alice's battle with The Umbrella Corporation isn't finished," said Anderson. "Last time we saw Alice, she let them know she was coming after them. It’s time to settle the score."

Go get 'em Alice.
