Report - Microsoft readying free-to-play system on 360

Several sources close to Develop have told the site Microsoft is planning to bring free-to-play gaming to Xbox 360.

According to the sources, Microsoft is discussing possible free-to-play deals with developers, with the business model offering either in-game items or premium upgrades using Microsoft Points.

Microsoft has yet to respond to the sources' claims.

Last week, Valve released free-to-play games on Steam, and announced this morning Team Fortress 2 had gone free-to-play as well.
