Reggie discusses MiiVerse content moderation

Reggie Fils-Aime explained how the process of moderation will work on Nintendo's upcoming Miiverse communication system and why it won't affect normal posts by users.

The system which was revealed during Nintendo's press conference created some doubts after company president Satoru Iwata said that it'll have several content filtering checks in place that'll scan through your posts before making them public on the system.

However Fils-Aime cleared those concerns confirming that content which is clean won't get delayed before being posted.

Speaking to Kotaku, he said content will only be filtered if it's being repeatedly flagged as spam and it'll be done by Nintendo's human-lead team and not some mechanised process.

"Let's take that example. I need help with level so-and-so. The technical scan happens. There's no bad words. It happens," the executive said.
