PlayStation 4 sells through 4.2 million units, says Sony

Sony's PlayStation 4 has sold over 4.2 million units according to CEO Kaz Hirai.
The exec revealed the latest sales numbers during a CES keynote in Las Vegas. Yesterday, rival Microsoft confirmed its Xbox One console has sold over three million units since release in November.
Additionally, PS4 software is performing well with some 9.7 million units sold since the console launched. while PS Plus subscriptions had leapt 90% since the machine released.
