Nintendo has "no plans" to fix Maka Wuhu track bypass in Mario Kart 7

Nintendo has said it doesn't plan on releasing a patch to fix a glitch allowing users to bypass part of the Maka Wuhu track with an unintended shortcut in Mario Kart 7.

According to a statement given to StickTwiddlers, Nintendo is "aware" part of the track can be navigated in a way which "allows a large part of the course to be bypassed," but there are "no plans to update the game to remove this shortcut."

"Doing so would create an unfair advantage for the users of the original release of the game," said Nintendo representative Buddy Roemer, adding that the request for a fix has "been added" to the firm's records.

Thanks, Joystiq.
