Levine: BioShock Vita is new game, not Infinite

Irrational boss Ken Levine has confirmed that his new BioShock project for Vita will be a brand new game in the series' universe.

Speaking to IGN, Levine said it wasn't a redeux of the first BioShock or a Vita version of Infinite, though.

"It's a different project. It's its own thing being built from the ground up," he said.

"That is going to be strange and surprising to people. I think we always want to surprise people. If I'm just saying 'here's BioShock 1 on Vita', that's something we could potentially do, but you don't need us to do that. Somebody can make that happen."

Levine confirmed on stage during the Sony press conference on Monday that he was working on the BioShock Vita project, but wouldn't get into specifics.
