Heroes of Ruin patches and DLC a possibility thanks to eShop

Heroes of Ruin developer n-Space has said it's currently discussing the possibility of updating or patching the game.

Speaking in an interview with SuperPhillipCentral, n-Space said thanks to Nintendo empowering developers with the 3DS eShop, it's now possible to deliver game updates, and while DLC wasn't part of the team's original plan, player demand may make SQuare Enix change its mind.

"If you look on the Heroes of Ruin box, you’ll notice an absence of the orange Nintendo Network logo," said the developer. "This means the game in stores doesn’t offer the option to purchase paid DLC. But that’s not necessarily the final word on the subject.

"We don’t have anything to announce at this time, but if [fans] would like to see paid DLC, they can make their voices heard on the HeroesOfRuin.com message boards. Square Enix keeps a pretty close eye on that dialogue."

Heroes of Ruin released in early June, and a demo for the title appeared on the eShop earlier this month.
