Gran Turismo 6 microtransactions are for busy players, wait for reviews says Yoshida
Gran Turismo 6 features a micro-currency model similar to those found in free-to-play titles. It has caused quite a stir this morning. Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has addressed the matter on Twitter, suggesting that the model is geared towards those who don't have much time to grind, and to wait for reviews before judging the game.
This morning, we reported that Gran Turismo 6 players can pay £120 - that's real money - for a Jaguar XJ13 car.
Now, Eurogamer has spotted that Yoshida has been responding to fans on Twitter in an attempt to cool the matter.
@Km2000gt read the posts, the game is just offering an alternative path to busy people. Read reviews when they come out.

@ThyDarkAngel microtransaction per se is not a bad thing, how the game is designed around it could become a problem

Gran Turismo 6 launches tomorrow, December 6 and reviews will go live at 8am. As usual, we'll be poised to collect all the scores in our round-up.
What do you make of the matter?
