Fortnite celebrates Star Wars Day with the return of lightsabers

Star Wars Day is right around the corner and Epic Games is kicking things off in Fortnite with the return of a few limited-time Star Wars costumes.

Starting May 4, a selection of Star Wars outfits and lightsabers will be available in Fortnite's in-game shop. This will feature the return of Rey, Kylo Ren, and Sith Trooper outfits which were previously included in its store last year ahead of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

"Fulfill your destiny. StarWarsDay is almost here and the Rey, Kylo Ren and Sith Trooper Outfits are back in the Shop!" reads a tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account. "Feel like a Jedi as Lightsabers have returned for a limited time! Drop in game now and show off your skills."

Players will also have access to green, red, blue, or purple lightsabers for a limited time.

Epic has yet to announce the official date these items will disappear; however, data miner iFireMonkey has stated they will be available until May 6. Additionally, lightsaber challenges which were first introduced last year as a limited-time event appear to have now been re-enabled. We have reached out to the developer for confirmation.
