Australian Fortnite squad breaks record with impressive 61 kills in a round

Four Fortnite players set out to beat the previous record of the highest kills per game and succeeded.

Fortitude_Fqrbes, Nexjs, tactjc-, and TTV_NadeXC are the four players responsible for this impressive Fortnite record. The squad went in with a plan to break the previous all-platform record of 59 kills.

That's over half of the server killed by the squad, and certainly the first ever record above 60. It's impressive, to say the least, especially considering it was achieved on a controller (PS4). To avoid accusations of cheating and other claims, three members of the squad recorded their perspectives of the entire round.

We've embedded Fqrbes' footage below, since they're by far the highest with 25 kills, followed by Nexjs with 18, tactjc- with ten, and only eight for TTV_NadeXC.

Unlike the infamous 48-kill record, which one player achieved by basically blowing an entire in-game viewing party, this one appears to be legit.

You can watch the video below, but be warned of some unfortunate language near the end of it as they're about to break the record.
