Fortnite leprechaun skin bug makes you smaller

One of Fortnite's latest skins, the ones celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, have been found to sometimes give players a particularly amusing, if unfair advantage.

Fortnite update 3.3 added a bunch of St. Patrick’s Day-themed items, including a leprechaun skin. Some players, however, got more than they bargained for when having the skin equipped.

Twitch streamer Ninja came across a player with the leprechaun skin over the weekend on stream, and it definitely looked like the player had shrunk in size. In the clip you see below, the opposing player was a smaller than usual, and it took Ninja by surprise.

This is not an intended change, according to Epic. As amusing as it would be, this would create an unfair advantage as a result of the smaller hitbox. Items purchasable with real money in Fortnite are intended to be cosmetic only, hence why this is a big deal.

Epic Games' Nick Chester said on Twitter that he passed the bug report on to the team to get it fixed, even if he thought for a moment it could have been intentional.

There hasn't been many reports of this bug online, so it's likely an isolated issue. Still, if you do see it in-game, it'll probably be funnier rather than aggravating.
